in addition to that lg has the crappiest build quailty out of all of the wp7 devices.

My kids are getting a string and two cans. They will have to earn their way up.

You have to define "slow." I mean, what are you trying to do with your cell phone? Are you trying to fold on it? Or run a Windows XP VM?

I have a Captivate. Admittedly, it was "slow" in a sense that the UI wasn't very responsive and some sensors went into random schitzophrenic sessions. Turned out that the 2.2 upgrade (with a file system conversion) fixed all that. Now my buddies can't believe how "snappy" my phone is. I have almost nil delay in doing anything from opening camera app to logging onto online banking to flipping birds in Angry Birds.

edit: I just saw you said "android ui". I missed it, hard to read when everything is in lowercase. Any way, Android UI is not as slow as you think. Try another phone with Android on it. You may be pleasantly surprised.

It's an LG phone... what did they expect?

And to join in on the WP7 or Android discussion, I can't wait to get a WP7 on verizon. I'm due for an upgrade from my current android device and plan to go WP7. I got an Eris the day it came out, which was the same day as the Droid, I picked the Eris because it was small and sleek. It's a POS if not rooted, but now that I have it rooted and a custom ROM on it it runs like a dream. Frankly I'm bored with android, nothing is holding me to the platform so why not try something new? If I don't like it I'll jump back on the android bandwagon. Plus with android they are updating it like crazy and releasing new phone all the time, cash cow much?

Tried WinPho7 on my HD2, works wonderfully, and looks amazing, but alas, the market is lacking severely and is missing a lot of great apps I've come to love on android, so now I'm back to Gingerbread
