sl7j5 specs

Thread Starter
Sorry to start a new thread. I have been trying to use the search button for the past couple of days with no success, maintenance. I got a CPU for free, I looked up the info on the back on the internet. It said it was a Pentium 4, 2.8 ghz, 775 socket, I'm guessing single core. My other two pcs are AMD. But I have read alot here on this site about the 775. I'm wondering if I have a good one. The same that everyone seems to like. What are it's potentials? Is it worth investing into it since it's old technology? It would be used for Home Theater, light gaming, and experimenting. I can't seem to find a motherboard on Newegg for it, they all only seem to support dual core. Can someone paste me a link plz? I'm trying to not to go over 60 bucks. I have my own graphics card I would use, so PCI express would be nice. And DDR2 or DDR3 would be great due to prices. Thank you for any help.

its very old now. i would not buy a board for it.

you cant play new games with it. you could play doom or something like that.

ebay would be the only place to get a board for it and some ddr1
