With help from a friend and I have successfully unlocked my EVGA 465 to a 470.

seems like alot of evga are unlocking lately (me included), they must really be trying to clear their 470 stock.

Could you post the link the 465 you bought? I was unaware that any of the evga 465s unlocked.

You have to find out if it has the 10 memory chips or 8 by taking it apart.

Damn i bought the Superclocked version... 1467 :< Do you need TORX 6 screw to take it off?

mAYBE...I remember opening up my 260 one time and it had Torx 6 screws...use a small tipped flathead and u should be fine.

Regular precision screwdriver worked. Just be careful not to strip any.

Yea, that friend of yours sounds like he's the one to talk to about this. Precision screwdriver to unscrew Torx, you'll have to be really careful not to strip out anything or you can just use the right tool for the job.
