No idea, my block was used as I got it for a great price, I had to buy thermal pads too and cut them, obviously. Don't mind buying a few extra screws seeing as I saved about £40 on the block.

The EK5970 backplate doesn't cover the whole PCB, as you can see in this image, which kind of eliminates the point in my eyes...but whatever.

Oh yes, they are a little expensive, but oh so worth it. , Bet this thread makes you miss your loop?

Naked 5970 teaser?

I know! I went through the exact same experience when I WC'd my 5970, I'm about to go through it again *Cough* QuadFire *Cough, Cough*

Quadfire?!

There is an Asus 5970 in the FS section for £300, but I don't really want another one. Crossfire is buggy enough as it is, that, and my PSU would not be happy.

My 5970, still sealed, BNIB from RMA, was £300 from an OCN member that I met at a LAN. Very, very good deal (at the time, still is really).

I'm getting mine for 350$ USD.

I'd buy it at that price, is that the regular price for a used one over there? I'd have so much more stuff if I lived in the US, instead of here where they overprice everything then slap 20% tax on top of it.

Haha, I was quite staggered with the price too.

I have it in my sig and someone PM'd me about it. I was quite pleased .

(Note, Australia, It's actually 300$ from America, 50$ shipping to Australia, BE EVER MOAR JELLY NOW )

I'm used to things being overpriced, I would have saved £500~ building my rig in the US.

My motherboard looks so lonely without anything on it in it's temporary home!

*snip*

Yeah, pricing in Australia is also pretty bad. Plus, all the good sites and prices are half a country away so I get kicked in the balls for shipping.

So happy about this price.

ANYWAY.

Rig looks good! Keep up the good work, I thought your TJ07 was meant to be Black AND white, or does the white just come from the parts?

Thanks.

I took off the blue "GIGABYTE" covers, as well as reducing temps, it looks a lot better.

Thanks,

I was originally going to paint the whole thing white, but I saw a few in white, and it looks a little cheap and ruins the elegant look. White Venom now makes sense, as the white part is the tubing, like the blood running through the veins of it.

Anyhow, off to get screws!
