Should work nicely. and allow you to mount the reservoir right way up without a permanent fillport hole.
Never thought of that, I'll do that. Just realised I need some 5.25 > 3.5"s for my HDD's too,

Gah, just installed the standoffs I got and realised that the TJ07 needs 1/2" ones, and I have 1/4", and they don't screw together!

The ones I got were 1/4", so I drilled out the thread in them, and soldered one into it, making a 1/2" one!

I'm not too sure what you mean, but looking at it now, the cables are going to be hanging over the radiator, I might flip the fans so they go under it.

Parallel meaning that you splice the fans together on the radiator, so you have one wire to sleeve coming down.

I researched on here to find out out to do that, although I may resleeve it because it was my first attempt. I can run 6 on a channel of my controller, so I wired up 6. (also ditched the molex and went with one 3 pin molex.)

Odd that you can't seem to buy 1/2" standoffs anywhere. Well, not anywhere near me.

Oh, I see.

I'm not sleeving the fan cable, there is actually no sleeving involved in this project. As much as I'd love to, it doesn't make sense sleeving an almost year old, 650W PSU, as the sleeving would be worth more than the PSU itself.

Although I am planning something with NZXT extensions.

As for the fans themselves, I'll just be using them individually. I have a black sleeved cable that goes into a fan header, and has 8 female 3 pins coming off of it, so you can power multiple fans from one header, I'll just be using that.

Small progress update, things are installed in the case, just need to secure the radiator and pump, fit the res, cut the tubing and drill a few holes in the aftermarket midplate. I might even get around to leak testing tomorrow, and I sincerely hope I do, not having access to my data, music, or games, is driving me a little insane, as is this netbooks puny excuse for a screen.

I just hope it still works, fiddling with my 5970 in that manner felt dangerous, , my hands were shaking when I installed the thermal pads.

Quick question, I have an anti vibration pad thing for the pump (referred to as a "Shoggy Sandwich", iirc?), do I just plonk the pump on top of it? I remember hearing something about pumps dying as the main source of heat is at the bottom, an therefore needs some sort of ventilation?

My pump MCP655 sit on a rubber pad, which has holes for you to bolt the pump down normally. But yes, when you mount the pump, sandwich the pad between the pump, and the part of the chassis you secure to; whether you mount it upside down, sideways, etc. The rad should help cool the pump; it's essentially water cooled. If your pump isn't getting proper cooling, I don't think the pump getting enough air is the problem.

Can't wait to see the completed project.

I should probably fill out the water-cooling parts at some point. As well as the rest of the contents.

Mine is just a foam pad, no holes in it as far as I know, which confused me initially. I might just fashion myself one out of some thick rubber or something, I can't really secure something into foam, unless I use double sided tape, which doesn't sound like the best option.

Then again, that's how I'm mounting the rad.

Thanks for the help, and kind words.
