One of the pins came out of the 24 pin extension, but I was able to put it back in.

Think it came to about £40 - 60, can't remember off the top of my head. Not got the 8Pin one as it's out of stock. frown.gif

ANYHOW, GOOD NEWS EVERYONE!

IMG_6004.jpg

Some wires are still unplugged, cable managment was a pain. In. The. Ass. But it got done.

I had a rise in the water level when I took the tube out of the top of the res, causing an overflow and a nice large amount of water on my 5970. (as I had to screw on the top once I've filled it, as it has one inlet, and I didn't want to mount it upside down. Now confused what to do, as it's gone on the cores, which are now dry thanks to lots of tissue, but obviouly it's gone under the backplate too. Would it just evaporate overnight, or am I going to need to do something drastic?

Hairdryer? But that could loosen the pipe.

My pump has some air in it too, it's a little loud, fix that later. Also, one of the barbs was dodgy, and the tube kept coming right off, replaced it and it was fine. Odd.

I really, really, really, really, really don't want to take the loop apart. What do? Leave it dry for a few days? Hairdryer? Heat rays from my eyes? redface.gif

Wow, that sucks. Really bad. I'd probably just cry for a while and end up taking the safe route (draining, etc.) once I composed myself.

On the bright side, it looks nice. smile.gif

I'm not doing that. Decided I'm going to let it dry overnight, if I start it up and it works, then it's all good. If I start it up and it shorts out or something and kills the card, then I'll drain and RMA. If I drain it, dry it a lot, then put it back together and it doesn't work, then it's wasted effort.

That's my attempt at justifying it. upsidedwnsmiley.gif

The loop itself doesn't leak, it seems dry as a bone so far. The problem was me taking the pipe out of the res, with the res filled up, and letting the excess water in the pipe go in the res, which then caused it to overflow, and the dodgy fitting, which popped off and put water on the GPU, that was quite odd.

Honestly, I wouldn't reccomend the TJ07 if you buy it at RRP. It has no cable managment and you have to do it yourself (literally, none whatsoever), you have to paint it yourself, it doesn't fit together properly, it only has 5.25" drive bays, and the PSU mounting pretty much blocks off 120MM of the rad.

It's a great case for watercooling, but for close to £300, I'd get a 7 or 800D. I'm glad I got mine for £85.

The TJ07 is nowhere near £300 worth of case in my eyes. I mean, it looks very stylish and good, and it's fully aluminium which is good, as well of being a piece of cake to take it apart, but it's missing cable managment entirely, and I have no idea what possessed them to only include 5.25" bays. kookoo.gif

At £2 - 240, it'd be a very good deal, but with the things that the 7/800D offer, it's still a little much. 2cents.gif

Anyhow, enough of my moaning, have some pictures of cables:

Also, should my pump be in the 2 or 3 pin fan connector? I have a splitter that goes one fan header > 8, and there is one 3 pin that is labelled, as obviously it can be controlled. It's currently in a 2 pin, does this matter?

Secondly, what does that fan connector on the pump do? it obviously wasn't powered as the motherboard wasn't powered on, as it was just being driven via the molex. wth.gif

The extra 3 pin fan connection is just for reading the speed of the pump. That's all it does. No speed controlling and isn't required, I dont have either of my MCP355 3 pins connected, just the molex.

Plugging it into the 2pin on the splitter will mean it does nothing at all, as the 3rd pin is missing and that's the one that does the fan monitoring.

Also 5970!!! Is it worth the risk?
