"White Venom" - A White & Black TJ07 Mod w/full loop - Page 51

inb4 your res looks like a bong with all that bubbling.
There's your issue.

Having the water just spray in like that is just filling the Res with bubbles, hence all the bubble in the Res, there should be no bubbles in the Res at all.

Either fit the input into the res pipe on the bottom or put one of those tubes on.

After this amount of hours your loop should be silent. Mines got the same amount and similar components and is silent within 15 minutes of filling.

Your pump sounds horrible because there's air running through it. Air in your pump could and may have damaged it after this time period.

May PM you. Really could do with a way of talking to you off OCN.

So, either of those means I have to drain the loop, correct?

I'm really regretting getting a Basic res now, should have got an advanced with 2 inlets.

If I unscrew the top of the res, install the pipe, then put it back, would that solve my issue of both air and bubbles?

I was also told;

Two ways to solve it. If there is enough space on the other side of the lid to screw a barb in with some tubing do it(want it to go down below the water level. Then to bleed just unscrew the lid and with the tube you have on the other end still under your water level, slowly it will bleed(probably after a day or two maybe less. If you have the water swirling like that it won't ever bleed on my firt loop i had a massive swirl and as a result the water when a creamy colour cause of all the froth it generated(once i solved that the loop bleed and my temps dropped a fair bit)

Second way is to connect the top plug to the bottom as well so your inlet and outlet are at the bottom.

Once you bleed the loop the noise from the pump will go.

I got rid of my wc cause of noise and hassle, when it runs its great once you something breaks oh my its a pita, my pc isn't even oc'd at the moment just not worth the effort and time when i have uni and work etc... And also cause i was raging after i somehow killed my Evga board. I miss it yes but my pc is now dead silent

Yeah, that should sort it.

Make sure your systems off first though!

I'm always a little late to help.

I'd have to drain some water, as if I took of the top of it when it's off, it'll overflow onto my 5970 as it did before. Could I drain some water from my 5970 by taking off one of the stoppers, I assume that'd work fine?

Right.

Plan of action:
  1. Drain some water from my 5970 so the res water level drops
  2. Unscrew top of res
  3. Fit barb and pipe running into it
  4. Run pump with top of res still off, but with installed pipe below water level for a while
  5. Screw it back on
  6. ???
  7. Profit

Am I right?

This is probably a stupid question, but isn't the top one piece? I don't understand what you mean in step 4.

Never mind, I got it. Your plan looks fine, as long as you're careful. I do agree that it's very inconvenient if you're using the top as an inlet...

After some research, and a lot of help (Thanks Will! ) I've found what I need, I think.

I'm told I need this, as I don't think there is thread for another barb to make my own, unless anyone can confirm this.

Is it safe to run my system in the meantime? I don't want to damage the pump, because there is a lot of air in it right now (the loop).

I fixed my res, turns out there was enough room for another barb, now there is no waterfall noise, no pump noise, my PC is virtually silent! It's sexy. Much better than before, it's so, so, so quiet. I'll have to make a video.

Used a tipping funnel thing, and a lot of precision.

I can hear my hard drives seek.
