Recently got i5-2500K and have been getting many different results from different utilities. Using Cooler Master 212 Hyper with Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste. HAF 922 case.

Asus BIOS - 50C
SpeedFan 4.42 - 20C
Real Temp GT - 32C
Core Temp - 33C

Real Temp and Core Temp are reporting the same accurate core temp, just at slightly different sampling times, hence the degree or so off. core temps via Real Temp or Core Temp are always the most accurate temperature as they are calibrated by intel at the factory (even though they not be accurate until higher range).

Speedfan is out to lunch, ignore it.

Your bios is not reporting core temps but cpu temps. That sensor is calibrated by the bios and usually inaccurate especially on early bioses.

Bios isn't idle, nor does it have EIST enabled so it isn't downclocking in bios which is why it's hotter.

Or AIDA64 in its current form. Great tool. Also has a fully configurable G15 applet.
