Asus is a great brand. you only need $160 for the p8p67 and all of their boards have the best volage regulation out of the different brands. And UEFI makes life really simple, MSI's bios laggs and sucks.

would have to agree. People choose Asus over Asrock and that other brand most likely because they have never heard of it before. Asus is more known probably

I wanted to get a board that was good in voltage stability and good overclocking with enough goodies onboard but most of it is to be able to mount my 2 Video cards and my PCI sound card from my previous system.. Trying to maximized my $. ASrock was out when you see their PCI setup, Very bad setup like many other brands .. The only one really that was good to me was the ASUS, EVGA miss the train on delivering , so for a 7 months or a year i think it will be enough for a P67 system until the new chips and real 2x 16 boards will arrived.

Your out of your mind. Gigabyte is King in terms of voltage reg. I agree MSI is trash motherboards... but this Asus I have right now is just as bad...

I would own another gigabyte right now if they're engineers didnt produce the worst heatsink/slot layout of the past 10 years.

Having 3x Pci-e 16x slots just to have the only 1x at the top blocked by a heatsink literally is the reason that I cannot use a gigabyte motherboard in my rig.

p67 so far as been a complete and utter disappointment/joke. Nothing works. For every single success story there have been 25 horror stories. I'm about to just scrap this and go back to my q9550.

I bought my P8P67 Pro the day they were available on Egg combo'd with the 2600k. It had the features I was looking for, it wasn't expensive enough for me to look elsewhere and I have had good experience with other Asus products. I am not an extreme overclocker and from the reviews that were available at the time of release, the P8P67 Pro looked good. So did others, of course, and I could easily have gone another way too.

So far (knock on wood) everything is running smoothly and performing as advertised with room to expand. I got what I expected and am perfectly happy with it.

Why do you pick a Chevy or a Ford or a Dodge or.... whatever else? Who cares? It was available and it does what I want it to do.
