It's just a great monitor for an awesome price. There's a reason it's the second best rated monitor on Newegg... look at the ones surrounding it

This. I didn't mention anything about the professional-style Dells since they are priced a good bit above his budget; but it's true that they will perform much better than any budget screen in graphics work.

the Dell u2410 is amazing for photoshop needs.
i have had the same struggle! and my choice was between the U2410 and the Dell SP2309w! AS im using it more for gaming and HD movies, i went with the SP2309W. made sense to me! AND dell currently have a 10% discount on that particular monitor. its a no brainer for me!
you could go for the samsung px2370 BUT both these panels are TN based AND if your a big photoshop user, u need to go for An IPS based panel. for your budget, quite rare to find!

Not an extreme user, just casual if not trust me I would have gotten a IPS monitor without a doubt.
