I just sent back my 42LE5400 to Newegg, and purchased a mosking hot deal from vanns.com http://www.vanns.com/shop/servlet/it...ures/462147743

The old tv had to go back because of six 6" diameter whitish spots appearing during dark scenes. I think the anomaly was confined to that particular tv set, I looked at one set up at the charlottesville crutchfield outlet (yeah we cvillians are lucky). Anyhow this new 47le8500 is absolutely amazing. Superb blacks, no or very little bleeding and no halo'ing (issue described above).

So my questions are who uses Trumotion? Do you like it? What setting do you put it on?

As far as optimization of contrast, do you adjust the backlight or the brightness settings?

In your opinion, what are the best settings for this TV?
About the Real Cinema mode, I understand the theory of what it does with a 5:5 pulldown, but what exactly is that?

I am a HDTV newb, never have had one until 2011. Sorry for all the questions, but inquisitive minds like to know....
