Side button fingertip grip mouse

Hi All,

I've been gaming with a smallish wireless logitech mouse (lx5) for a few years now. I fingertip grip so the small / ambidextrous design is nice. However the weaker sensor / wireless combo makes for some pretty imprecise movements.

I purchased an MX518 and after about 4 hours of Starcraft 2 i felt like someone had stabbed me in the wrist. Far to big and bulky for me to fingertip, even though the difference in pointer precision was night and day.

So, I'm looking for a small fingertip gaming mouse. I don't need any fancy $90 masterpiece. I was looking at something like the logitech G1 except ideally i'd like a thumb button to press. Is there anything that fits that mold? Everything seems to be either 2/3 button like the G1 or a 9 button lachysis.

Thanks!

The G9x is probably one of the better fingertip-grip mice on the market.

Logitech G9x

I can't think of any others atm.

Right now I would say the g9x but since you're looking for something cheaper you might just wait for the CMStorm Spawn mouse coming out in Februrary which looks really good. And it's also using the new ADNS-3090 sensor which has excellent tracking and even higher max perfect control ceiling. It also has a form factor and size about just the same as your logitech.

Abyssus has bad jitter and Salmosa has heavy prediction that cannot be turned off.

Thanks for the tips guys. As I thought it seems pretty bleak for us finger tippers! I think the G9x is a little out of the price range, but I'll look into the Spawn when it comes out. Generally it seems finger tip grippers prefer ambidexterous mice but perhaps the Spawn / G9x are small enough that it isn't a big deal that is got the right handed "curve"?

It doesn't really matter too much, but I like right handed mice.
