Hope not. I'm assuming they won't since Hank seems to be pretty straight up.

But I'm OCD and my issue might not have been caught by a lot of other people. I knew about the shiny nickel issue but not knowing how far it could go I inspected my Black Nickel fittings. Good thing I did since it looked like someone was at the interior of them with a sharpie covering scratches before returning them.

They easily passed cursory inspection. It was only when I shined a light inside them(Sunset hour) due to lack of light in my dark cubby hole, that I noticed a difference in colors and substances. Hank went above and beyond to make it right. But I've put that in my worklog already. I can't say I've had many issues with them, but I haven't spent near the money that some people have @ ppcs. Although I'm also pretty straightforward and let them know in a reasonable fashion.

I'm not saying that everyone spoils for a fight, but IME being the guy at the Receiving it sure seems like it. "You're gonna do this and if you don't do this I'm gonna come down there and and you're gonna like it mister". I have patience with people, but I'm Irish. Intimate that there's gonna be violence on my person an well I may not go off like sketchy M80s' in a chinese fireworks factory, but good luck getting me to step to it.

When I'm the guy that has the issue, I'll give the help reasonable room to fix the issue and reserve the right to lose my cool only when the last option isn't driving the point home. I have enough stress in life I don't need to add to it.

Not this.

Edit: Enquire about noticble dullness. Forwarded to EK. Eddy recommends polish. Warranty voided.

Customers want cheaper prices, EK gives cheaper prices, customer get angry went product isn't built up to scratch and makes EK pay for it.

I feel the need to include the unedited version of your post as your tactful edit makes it seem like I'm the one initiating the personal attacks.

Stupidity.
As for EK and their new nickel, I'm glad they have now provided the option for beefier plating but it's offending that they continue to suggest the fault doesn't lie with them.

Not halting their POS plating production but instead issuing a 'warning' and a suggestion to use premixed coolants (which, oh hey, EK sell) shows utter disregard for customer satisfaction. It's all about the dollar.

Are there any problems with the gold plated blocks?

...EK have opted for the most expensive technology...
This was obviously not the best solution. They'll probably raise the price of their blocks. It seems they've decided not to see what the problem with their nickel plating is and go to a process that's more expensive which will probably take more money out of our wallets.

I think there is no manufacturer that would not recommened using premixed coolant with corrosion inhibitor inside (exp. goes from my contacts with supports centers). AC, KL, Swiftech,... also has them premixed and they are quite good.

I can also remember some people calling ek being cheap as all price of raw material went up globally and they kept them on same level. Now after years they rise prices for few % (which also catches up with inflation), and it is still not good enough ROLF

double standards.
