Heres my CPU block after 3 months under distilled and PT Nuke.
Sorry dude, read your post, sucks big time and ek really is not stepping up their game. This has blown away what ever little faith I had with EK.

Koolance will get my money for future upgrades.

This seems to be a somewhat common problem now and not just an isolated incident. I thought i did something wrong with my copper EK block but i guess EK is having QC problems
post #133 of 1650
They told me in a email that not sure what did that but we have had no problems reported from anyone else about this. LOL Yeah right.

Obviously there is a problem with their nickel plating quality/process. I hope my gold plated block is fine....

What would be wrong with the standard copper? (unplated)

As I said in the other thread, it's really too bad- Eddy used to be on top of this sort of thing, especially when it brewed in the forums like here and over at XS. Unfortunately it seems the success in the last year or two has had a very negative effect on QC and customer service I like their products, but I'm not going further than bare-copper blocks; the faith just isn't there in the product or more importantly the support to buy anything more critical like a rad or res.
It's a shame because I love my EK pump top and my EK blocks, they're really works of art and perform well. I haven't had a negative experience myself, yet, but clearly there's a surge of these issues lately.

Update:

Greg is having my block picked up as he urges to get the block back asap for analysis. I'm guessing EK is investigating this and taking the matter a bit more serious.

Glad to see something is finally being done. Hopefully they don't lose too much business over this, the performance title is still theirs, at least for now. Plating and durability, not quite Good luck with the RMA's guys.
