I'm rocking two 470 Koolance blocks. Haven't heard anything bad about them but I'll keep my eyes on them while they age.

Add my 6870 block to the list ffs!

Out of the 30 I've sold, 2 have this issue neither will be replaced by EK. Both customers binned them and are looking for replacements. I've decided not to stock EK anymore, they just keep screwing themselves and their customers over.

Welcome to OCN? I'd fill out your system info in the User CP.

If you had your block apart, or have acrylic, you should take a picture so we can all have a look also

Checked my blocks out about a month and a half ago. I'll be cleaning everything out again shortly since my board is being RMA'd.

Any thoughts on HK? I love their designs. Koolance are very nice in terms of performance but their newer blocks look fugly imo, aquacomputer seems a bit too expensive. DD are also nice and I hear their blocks are not too restrictive but they come in a close second behind koolance in terms of looks

I wasn't going to post this cause i already did in my own thread and this one here;
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=270567
and just like Flux stated EK won't let me RMA the block
on the other hand why not ,I'm really disappointed

welcome to the club. as I suspected, its starting to look like EK won't replace my two blocks.

For anyone that like to have Nickel plated blocks with the quality second to non and no BS
i would suggest getting pure copper block and get it done by the pro's ;

this is how plating should look like;

^^^wowzers!!!

How much would they charge to replate my blocks? I found a local company that charges $100+ per piece, that is just silly and the same cost as getting another block.

Resale of the ek blocks is gonna be hard.
post #200 of 1650
you may want to wait and see if EK will actually replace the base ,as of right now no one knows how they going to deal with the situation ,lets hope for the best
EDIT; if i get copper replacement ..i'm sending it to RR
if not ..i get two of this and never buy another EK product;
