It's a crappy situation, and I feel for those stuck in it, but it happens in life, and EK will lose business over this. It is what it is. It's incredible to see a company do this these days though. Think about how easy it is to RMA just about anything (boohoo if you've got to wait two weeks, or you need to pay shipping one way), it's such a simple straightforward process that most companies do without much thought or questioning.

Oh well. EK does have some great looking stuff though, and I believe that'll carry them through this dark cloud.

I feel for nuttcase21 - maybe not the way I would handle it, but I can certainly understand the frustration. Heck - I have THREE of EK's 6970 blocks WITH an EK bridge and FC Links currently running - about 410.00+ of equipment that is about to get dumped.

My response (a bit more tempered) is really quite simple - I am replacing the blocks with another vendors blocks and will actively recommend against purchasing any EK equipment, ever.

The contents of the report are a complete moot point at this time. They could offer me a full refund and then some and it would not matter. I have seen and read enough of EK's handling of the situation to know that no matter what the report states, EK is clearly not the company I want to be sending my money to.

I sent an inquiry to my new manufacturer of choice and received a reply (not just an auto) within minutes. They assured me the block I wanted was compatible and offered a full RMA in writing, no questions asked, if it didnt. I called to make sure and they immediately connected me to the Tech/Engineer that emailed me. Not even 3 minutes after the phone conversation, he sent me another email (not an auto reply - an actual personal e-mail) with additional info and thanking me for my future business. THAT'S how you treat and retain customers. Period.

Sadly I have to agree on this, my future business will be with other companies, I just don't want to risk getting screwed on several hundred dollars that I will invest in WC parts.

You're exactly right, I hit my wall and had an outburst. If I offended anyone in doing so I honestly don't care. I've got about $1000 worth of EK stuff laying around my house that I've bought over the years and seeing how they're handling this is mortifying. It's along the same lines of how they were blaming people when thier 4870x2 blocks were breaking cards from being overtightened. They ended up including spacer kits now in thier kits to protect against overtightening, but even after petitioning EK for my spacers they wouldn't send me a set. I'm just fed up with ****ty business practices.
