On the other side, they still are trying to escape this nonsense. What about the brand new block tested by Rubidium and Red? EK says its a reaction by silver and cooper sulpahte with distilled. They recommended only "anti-corrosive" liquid. Uhm, yeah, plug in your liquid and say distilled and silver or other additives with copper sulphate are bad. And "spread the word", wth!

Wow, again! They clearly found the scapegoat in distilled. I'm done with EK at this point. I'm going to try to get replacement for my old blocks and then sell them.
Yeah, this is a joke of epic proportions. Come on Eddy, get with the program here. Offering to replace the blocks is great, but no store credit, no refund, just more crap blocks? No thanks. Sorry guys, I'll take my business elsewhere next time. Sad to see a company that can't own up to their own issues.

I'm just going to strip the nickel and so long EK, you guys suck big time!!!
Yeah, a small strip of silver or some PTNuke (again goating the PTNuke are you Eddy?!) messing with the whole loop? Not likely, look at all the other blocks that are happy in the same environment...

Edit: Also, 'replace your block and then only use our coolant to ensure your blocks work properly' type of thinking is getting old real quick. I'll be sure to spread the word, NOT TO BUY FROM EK! Thankfully Sidewinder and PTS have stepped up and people should do their best to buy their replacements from Gary... (in my opinion!)

I wonder if anyone would sacrifice him/herself and use their nickel waterblock following all their recommendations to the letter... what a result could be there?

Hmmm...

Well good thing i you buy in uk you can take it back to retailer and get a different one or money back if it went within 6 months or so. So what haapens if you get a nickel plated replacement and 3 months time it flakes and you have used what they say to?????. And for info it says use distilled on thier site

I would say that the most straightforward way is ordering the block right in the EK online shop. I know nothing about Gary & swc.com besides his obvious affiliation with the RR. No offence.

All I can say at this point is, I'm appalled by EK's statement.

I think there needs to be a movement to boycott ALL of EK's products until they rectify this issue the RIGHT WAY.

There are plenty of other companies to buy from, many of which have much better quality than EK.

EK packages are usually sealed. I doubt Gary would want to sabotage a business that brings (or brought at this point) a healthy dose of sales. I think Gary did it in the best interest of their customers, which is something EK and Eddy should learn to do

I'll find out how much it costs to strip these 480 blocks before I chuck them in the trash. I probably can only RMA one of them and I don't know if the person I bought them from is the original purchaser.

It might be time to purge myself from EK before it's too late.

The blocks that there is no copper version we are about to release it, and we can do it per customers request.

They will be the nickel ones you sent back just stripped and returned.

Just thought I'd put this in both threads because you know I'm right

So pretty much EK will charge you for shipping/labor so that they can strip your nickel block.....that would be them.
