[edit] For looks alone, I want to get a second 570. My single card looks so lonely when seeing these other builds lol. I just can't justify the cost!

Just make sure you got insulating washers for the MB block screws. My Gigabyte mobo burned up because they never supplied the washers before, and after 2-3 install and uninstalls, it rubbed the lacquer off the pcb traces and shorted out the VRMs. EK reply was they give the washers out now on the new blocks and that was it. Was basically told "sorry" and to go pound sand.

I'm still having troubles with this "free shipping". FrozenCPU says work with EK, EK says work with FrozenCPU. Waiting to hear back from FrozenCPU on my latest inquiry...

I've a question for the gurus that have been following this thread frequently.
I've noticed that in the first 15 pages it seems that older blocks don't suffer from this problem like the newer ones so I ask you guys:

Is there an estimated date that these defective blocks came off the lot?

I'd like to save time scrounging this 95+ page thread and taking apart my waterloop to inspect the blocks if i can avoid it. I purchased two EK-FC 470 Nickel acetal blocks In September 2010. These in the clear?

Some reports are stating at least within the last year, some say since August of 2010, some say December. You've essentially got 50/50 chance with how recent your purchase was.

It's safe to assume all new product as current as summer 2010 is affected. That's the problem with a business that doesn't keep detailed records of their product batches.
