Thread Starter
Im going to buy two Arctic Cooling Xtreme If it fits in my case(il figure out that later) but if it fits, how long does my CF bringe have to be? cause with the 3rd party cooling one card will use 3 slots....
Do you guys think 107mm is enough?

Thanks

they take up 3 slots so your board must have the pcie slots spaced out enugh to be able to use 2. Your best bet would be to get a flex crossfire cable off ebay thats long so you can put the cards in any slot.

Yea, but thats no problem, i just need an CF bringe long enough....

Oh, one question more: Does it reduce the preformance alot by using 8x 8x instead of 16x 16x?

no really appreciable difference between x8/x8 and x16/x16. A frame or two at the most from other articles I've read and then only at higher resolutions.

Quote (Vizworld) - "If you are running on a 30″ display at 2560×1600 or below, an x8/x8 SLI or CFX configuration will perform the same as a x16/x8 or x16/x16 configuration. The only time that you should even be slightly concerned about running at x8/x8 is when you move up to a multiple display setup. When we pushed the GTX 480 SLI at 5760×1200 we saw up to a 7% difference in performance between x8/x8 and x16/x16, in favor of x16/x16, but that was in one game only."
