So are these res's safe?

I'm not asking for you to link me to some other product (inevitable here) or if they 'perform' well. What I'm asking is if they are another Typhoon III (they literally crack and kill PC's).

I know that the 355 version of the link's res is reliable, but that is much older. The last time I asked here people said "it's too new to know for sure so far".

So this thing won't destroy my PC like 70% of the Typhoon III's right? And as for the actually 655 pump, do I still need the cushion thing for the pump?

I own this Res and love it, its really good be sure to have your own MPC-655 though, if you buy this and the MPC-655 you dont need anything else aside from the fittings everything is provided and very easy to setup I got 0 leaks from mine.

yeah there's almost no need for the Variable speed MPC-655 unless you want it to flow slowly cause I can't hear my pump @ all. my system is waterchilled and love how touching my plate to this res feels nice and cold to the touch ^_^

I haven't heard any bad things about that particular res, alot of OCN members here use XSPC dual bay res's in their systems without issue, but not sure about the built in pump version. XSPC make some quality stuff these days so I'd say you are 99% safe.

The cushion for the pump is to stop vibrations and pump noise, its optional if you want to use it, I dont use it on mine, the D5 pump is very silent to me. I cant hear it over the fans.

I havent heard about any problems with that res so far

I've got this combo..
Works great..
Just be careful you don't overtighten anything..
Also, the o-ring goes between the pump and the reservoir, not between the mounting bracket and the pump.. Instructions does not make this clear.

If you put the o-ring in the little indented circle on the mounting bracket where it *looks* like it's supposed to go instead of on the pump, it will dump the entire contents of the res onto the floor when you turn it on.

So yea, o-ring on the pump!

Running the pump at the "2" setting.. It's completely quiet, can't hear it at all, even with nothing but silent <900 RPM fans.

You have the variable speed? Try turning it all the way up, you can't hear it

Wait, that one has it built in lol? I already have a 655 pump. I am trying to figure out if it does have it in or not, but it's not so clear.

I own one as well and it's been in my system for four months now trouble free, if you have the variable speed version you will see a speed dial on the back of the pump.
