Got my PNY570 yesterday and couldn't be HAPPIER! I didn't think it would play nice w/AFTERBURNER ... But not only does it overclock fairly well, I can adjust voltages in Afterburner! Something from everything I read you couldn't do with a "PNY" card ... So nevermind on the Bios Flash
Still tweaking but I'm stable @800gpu 2000mem Stock Volts! (.988 in AB)
OCCT pushed it the hardest: load 82c idle 30c 65F ambient ... Heaven load 77c ***stock fan profile
Morale of this story ... PNY's are decent for moderate clocking ... BUT see EDIT!
EDIT: Afterburners OC clocks work fine BUT the "Fan Profile" WON"T "stick" upon restart!
PNY's fan profile @#$%'s for OC'ing ... your "new OC fan profile" set up in AB will work if you run AB in the background ... so for now I may end up editing the Bios anyway. I may start a new thread on how to edit/flash a PNY bios for FAN CONTROL! .. stay tuned ... the old timer NOOB
EDIT2: I hate dead ends (searches) This will all lead to HERE ...
Why did I ever stray from MSI/EVGA? ... cause I need to relearn Bios Editing!
AND UNFORTUNATELY THIS QUOTE FROM "civato" ...
"The fan speed adjustment is not possible with this fan controller , that was only possible at the G92 and 200 series NVIDIA cards. So you need to make a "Afterburner" fan profile."
Maybe "Rivatuner"??? ... any idea's welcomedEdited by TomcatV - 5/1/11 at 9:27am
