Help me improve my 2500k overclock...

Thread Starter
Hi again,

I am trying to improve my overclock, so I would like to know what do you guys think about these settings and please tell me what to change/modify. I want to stay at 4.5Ghz, I don´t need more, just want it to have perfectly improved and optimized.

BIOS screens:

Thank you very much.

turn speedstep back on!

Set PWM frequency higher and see if you can decrease vcc.

if that PWM frequency is in KHZ it needs to be increased close to 800.

Thanks, but I am noob, what do you mean by PWM frequency?

You mean VRM frequency?

VRM frequency is in KHZ and max. is 500Khz.

Bump.

Updated BIOS settings:
Core voltage: 1.315
VRM: AUTO(before fixed 300)
VCCSA: 1.0125
VCCIO: 1.1
CPU PLL: 1.85

Anything to change now?

I am still at 4.5Ghz and want to stay there.

Thanks.

keep lowering core voltage till u can ..and don't know much about sandy but pll doesn't help much with oc, at least with C2Q, so u could try that too ..but not at the same time

You can definitely lower the voltage from 1.36 to perhaps 1.32 at highest, thats where I would start.

I am at 1.315 right now, running Prime95 and testing...what about other settings, are they okay? I mean VRM, VCCSA, VCCIO, CPU PLL...

Any tips on getting 2500k@4.5Ghz under 1.3V? I tried 1.27V,1.28V,1.29V and with all errors after approx. 15mins in Prime95.

Dont know if 4.5 under 1.29v is possible; there has been lots of errors for myself and others with prime95. There was a thread about lowering the cpu pll down to 1.74-1.78 that would help out the cpu voltage being low (1.3ish).
