UV Question

So I made the switch to water cooling, from my TRUE 120. This was a real pain as I had to mod my Thermaltake Armor+ MX to fit the 240mm rad. So now the temps are a bit better under idle, and much better under load. It idles at around 35C-38C at 1.375V 4.1GHz. Now all thats left to do is get all the air bubbles out (there's still a lot of them) and make everything look pretty. So now I've bought 2 UV reactive cold cathodes, and I don't know, maybe its just me, but the UV reactive dye isn't glowing that much. Are my cathodes dimmer than usual? do most people usually have more than 2?

Also BTW, do air bubbles make a significant difference in performance? just wondering

@air: You will want to be proactive at reducing the air in the line/system as it will cause the pump to throttle, the air is also the thing that one wants to not be cooling with directly which is why one water cools in the first place. It may take a day/couple days to get it all out, as it will eventually be broken up by the plates on the blocks and either solute into the water or find the highest spot in the loop.

@UV is pretty far out on the visible light spectrum and as such does not make much of an impact in case illumination, adding more lights does help, but arrangement and proximity of the light to the what you want to glow also helps.

I run 2 UV lights and 2 UV diodes as well as 5 blue diodes, its plenty bright for me, my tubing does not glow like I thought it would, were as a pair or orange scissors I used to cut some stuff 5 feet away were day glowing... I suppose its just how much is absorbed/reflected as to what we see. Pics in my sig to compare yours too. The white cable sleeves glow their ass off though...

Im not too worried about case illumination, I just want the fluid to glow so they're at least visible in the dark. I checked out your rig and it glows much more than mine. I took some pics of mine, but the quality isnt so great since they're from my cell.

I don't know why but the image uploader isnt working right so I can only g et one image up for some reason. I'll try to upload the rest tomorrow.

My tubing is the fesser UV white tube, which is white, heck, just by being white is something... umm, the cathodes themselves are this:

http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...roducts_id=421

I have 2 of them as I said, and using one controller both can be hooked up together... ppc's does a good job sleeving stuff too... methinks you just dont have enough "light bulb" to make it jump out!
