What he said to me stuck in my head which is why I will continue to use XFX. He stated "Aslong as you are not the cause of the issue, we will send you another card." If we see that a thermal pad was not put on correctly or that the card was handled or misused in any way we will send you back the same card and cancel your warranty." In my mind this is fair. If you don't know how to put on an after market cooler or if you break it yourself they hey its on you. Its not the company's fault that you don't know what you are doing.

9 times out of 10 when an after market cooler is put onto the card and the card fails its because someone didn't double check there work. I am sorry if this seems harsh but I also work for a company which sells hardware and everyday I get someone calling in stating "I opened up my pc to add more ram now the computer wont boot, will you send me another one?" No of course not you broke it you bought it. Not my problem and its not XFX problem ether. In fact I was surprised that they were cool with the fact that I put the water block on. Its not hard to follow directions and get it working. JUST DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME AND YOU WONT HAVE A PROBLEM!!!

Excuse my drunken rant smile.gif

EDIT: Since everyone one this site does some kind of OCing. They MUST know that warranties will not cover even half of what we do to hardware. So quit QQing and run stock if you can't replace it.

so uh.................yeeeeaaaaahhhhhh
got the same reply from xfx my self. now check out this thread.

he even kept the camera rolling before opening the box they sent him. he isn't the only one i have several xfx cards 2 or 3 out of the 5 have flux residue on the back from when they were made and xfx will say that the users it put it on there and cancel the RMA i saw few threads on it here.

This comes from someone running xfx and have registered every card i have ever own that is xfx and never had 1 fail (YET). for what they have done to to others thats no way to do business yet the insist on doing so. For some reason XFX likes to forcefully copulate with their customers.

I have seen the other threads. I have never had this issue. XFX has been nothing but nice to me. Well only once they gave me the wrong BIOS update, I noticed the difference in name and didn't flash. Not sure why anyone would even take off the back plate to check. I only took mine off when switching from stock air to waterblock. If this is an issue then I do apologize.

so just because your treated fairly it's a good company? I think it's very trollish to blame those who claim to have been forcefully mated with XFX of overclocking their cards or physically damaging them. Yet your installing aftermarket cooling witch now is an automatic warranty void in any locations other than north America.

The reason they take off the back plate is to save every cent possible they even launched some P.R. videos not long after they started tarnishing their reputation online after forcefully mating with customers by declining RMA and sending faulty products back.

It's a growing trend i have seen a many a thread of these reports more often then not XFX more than the other companies. I have seen only 1 thread for gigabyte, msi , evga and none for asus and certainly not nearly as many on these companies as XFX.

It is good you haven't forcefully mated with by XFX just hope thy don't try to if your hardware ever fails. I my self have yet to have any RMA experience with them. the most i have ever done was purchase a DVI-HDMI adapter.

Please don't take this in the wrong I'm not saying your mean person or any thing you did apologize is alot more than some other people do I'm sure.
