okay so my split tank with hard drives in back is so i think finally sealed up and no oil will get to my hard drive. tomorrow i will be taking pictures with oil, replying with temps and all.

To pre answer some obvious questions.
Yes spinning hard drives need to be out of the oil.
I split my fishtank to have Hard drives hiding in back of computer but inside of the tank. I ran the wries under in a small notch and siliconed the Plexiglass to seal out all leaks. problem occurred with silicon not sealing around wires. oil slowly seeped in through bottom of tank near them. so to counter act i slammed 3 tubes of silicone into the bottom and pressed, in still didn't work, external was looking like what i should of went back to. (tryin to make it more compact) so then i was off to putting another form of sealant into the back to the base of the hard drive bays to make it seald off. tried PVC glue. DO NOT USE PVC GLUE, it seemed to warp but not go through the plexiglass as well DOSE NOT HARDDEN IN VAST AREAS. it got a thin crust but evaporated where it did not crust. so then i was off to Appoxi glue, seems to work had a minor small leak finally got sealed up, if still leaking. than either to solid state drives for convenience, or back to the External hard driver dual bay i have for the hard drive.

Either way pictures and maybe a Video posted tomorrow.

Doesn't work at all on modern computers.

My Opteron did almost boil the oil in less than 30 minutes running on IBT (oil was at 60ºC).

I don't wanna know what happens if I throw the X6 at 4.2GHz on there.

With a Transmission Oil cooler or any way of cooling the oil its just like having your system piped. anyone with the pipe system all have rads in the computer to cool down the system.
