You have inspired me to finally dig out my P4 system and finally finagle windows 7 on it and am now overclocking it. it runs well and windows index score surprised me.

Did you find drivers for Win 7?

I'm trying to find a decent AGP card for this thing to accompany my CPU upgrade, can't seam to find a decent price on a ebay and im not sure weather I should just get a 4650 1gb, or try and find a used X850 or a 6XXX or 7XXX nvidia card.

i have an agp 4x/84 ATI X1550 pro. sometime with older cards win 7 doesn't work i know for fact i was able to install old drivers for a fx5200 by checking the installer under xp compatibility mode.

EDIT: the 4650 isn't a bad idea make sure your board supports agp 8x and if need a 4 pin molex to 6 pin connector.

http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...#ht_834wt_1139

So I orderd this, sent my payment to the guy on the 16th and it cleared on that date through paypal. Problem is he has not shipped it yet. I am wondering if I should start to worry. I sent him an email earlier today asking what's up but haven't gotten any response back.

I looked at some of his feedback and some people are saying that they never got their purchases.

It says that he ship's within 5 days of receiving payment, this is the longest I have ever waited for someone on ebay to ship something. Friday is 5 business days from when I paid him. If it isn't shipped by Monday I'm gonna have to open up a dispute. I hate ebay for buying electronics. At least it is only 20$, and I will be very surprised if this is a new chip with the original packaging as his description points too.

well some hoe you found the 1 guy. i have had one similar experience and some other bads ones but, so far i have had mostly good experiences and usually only buy legacy stuff on ebay.

if the guy is still alive he should respond to a dispute fast. if the other comments about not receiving items are from recent sales then there might be trend if they are from past sales way back in the feed back pages then they are probably flukes

I'll wait till Friday and if he hasn't replied to my email or if I haven't gotten a shipping notice I will send him another email informing him that it has been 5 business days and ask him what's up. Then Monday I will file a dispute. But hopefully this works out cus I really want that CPU.

As far as the negative feedbacks they are few and far apart, but even if they were real I would hate to be one of them.
