Voltage control on Powercolor 6870

Thread Starter
just wondering if the powercolor 6870's r able to b voltage overclocked??? Ive tried to enable it in afterburner but with no luck? I can overclock my cards to almost max and r stable but seem to do worse in benchmarking, im thinking they need more juice to get out bigger numbers. Ne ideas?

My mate has a powercolor 5870 and he can't change the voltage, I am not 100% sure but I think its the same with your card. Also I think if your getting worse results in benchmarks that your memory is Overclocked too far.
I think it would just be unstable or you would see glitch's(Artifacts)in the benchmark if you needed more voltage.

Hope this helped. smile.gif

Thanks, Sir Overkill.

As far as i know all 6870's are reference and should have voltage control.

Have you tried the enable unofficial overclocking in the afterburner cfg file?
Some have had luck with the Sapphire Trixx
