I plan to lightly overclock to around 4.5 ghz

cpu cooler: noctua n dh14
case: fractal design r3

Its been my experience that case fans do very little for CPU temps, unless the airflow in your case is really bad.

Can always pick up some cheap yates or slip streams... Ill be honest... "correct" airflow is never a bad thing... will brind down ambient in case temp and give you some more overhead....

BUT! from what i've seen on my chip... 4.5-4.6 is a joke easy... 4.7-5.0 requires ALOT more voltage to achieve... like im talking 1.33 vs 1.4v

If you have a solid air cooler on the chip you should be fine for 4.5 ghz

From what I've seen, the Noctua is one the best CPU coolers around, so you should be fine.
