Back on topic, the Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD4 only has (2) PCI-E 1x, not the (3) stated in the table - a result of that particular motherboard having a longer VRM/chipset cooler than the rest of the series.
EDIT: Same goes for the GA-Z68X-UD4-B3.
Thank you! Fixed

Should I go for BIOSTAR TP67XE (B3)? It seems to have everything I need including high VRM at a great price. ($125)

I think if you spend the 35$ extra for the UD4, you'd be very happy.

Oh, and to the joker who deleted the OC Results spreadsheet..

If it happens again, I'll be forced to close the list down and add individual results myself.

Why is that?

The pricing is kind of throwing me off. On newegg the Z68 UD4 is $160 and the P67 UD4 is $180 yet has 2 less usb 3.0 and 4 less VRM. Hmm..

Yeah, I don't know why the price for the P67A-UD4 is so high. You can find it for 150$ at Provantage.

But at Newegg, it's either the Z68-UD4 for 160$..

Or the MSI P67A-GD65 for 150$ (after MIR):

i am confused...

on the asrock-website, for the Z68 Extreme4 Gen3, it says: NVIDIA® Quad SLI™
if i google "asrock Z68 "tri-sli"", the first four hits are reviews for Z68 Extreme4 Gen3
and in this list, it says "dual (@ x8)"

what the hell is going on? is it dual, tri or quad? or all three? or just dual and quad? or really just dual?

Well, the Extreme4 Gen3 has two PCIe x16 slots, and they run at x8 if both are occupied.

But it also has a third PCIe x16 slot that runs at x4 max.

So, technically, it should be Dual (@ x8) and Triple (@ x8,x8,x4), but that's a bit too long to write.

what about the quad then? is asrock lying?
or is it because they merely mean quad sli as e.g. 2x590, while you mean e.g. 4x580?

but shouldn't tri-sli "overrule" dual? is x8x8x4 even the only thing required to e.g. run three 580s? because i haven't come across clear requirements yet. only people speculating.
