Official Intel P67/Z68 Motherboard Comparison List & OC Results - Page 61

There is an error in your spreadsheet.

The Maximus IV Extreme-Z and Extreme both have the following power circuitry:
8 phase CPU power, 4 phase iGPU, 3 phase Memory

So I'm not sure where you got "20 phase" from for both of those boards.

The Maximus IV GENE-Z has the exact same power circuitry as the Extreme and Extreme-Z, with the exception of 2-phase power for the memory instead of 3. So I'm not sure why you have "8 phase" here.

If I counted 20, it must be correct.

As for which choke goes where, that is irrelevant.

I count the amount of chokes, not what they do.

I suppose I could differentiate it for every board - CPU, GPU, RAM, etc.

But since you can get 5.0Ghz on 4 chokes, I hardly see the need to knit pick.

Btw, nice lens collection. It's interesting that we have almost identical lens sets, with the exception of my Sigma 150-500 w/2x for my Gigapixel photography

Once you get above a certain voltage, CPU-Z no longer shows it. Instead, it will revert back to the minimum, which in this case is 1.06v.

That is VERY impressive, though. But how are you cooling it? Don't want the chip to die on you

Just curious as to why neither of the Intel Extreme motherboards DP67BG or DZ68BC are included in the spreadsheet. I am particularly interested in the Z68 board.

It's actually a problem with Gigabyte Z68 motherboards. CPU-Z shows the QPI/Vtt voltage instead of Vcore.

Intel boards have been quite underwhelming ever since Skulltrail.

Looking at the DZ68BC, it's inferior to the UD4 but costs a lot more.

It doesn't even have any reviews on Newegg or any photos above 450x500.

I just don't see the point when there are better products out there.
