How to OC a 7750 (NonBlack) above 3.0ghz

Thread Starter
well i got a Athlon 7750 x2 running at 2.95GHz and cant get it any further
the processor isnt a black edition but one time i managed to get it upto 3.2ghz,

but then the computer went all funny when i turned it on the next day and wouldnt POST it just cam up with a error saying:

Cpu frequency too high please change via BIOS

the FSB was 223 the multiplier was at 13.5 (3010.5 MHz)
(Lost the CPU-z Link)
im currently using a Nforce 430 Chipset and have 2 gb of ram running at stock voltages (not sure) and timings (5-5-5-15)

all i want is some info on how i could get it higher

There is a 24 bump rule in place. You just can't bump your thread every few minutes if no one responds.

Now to your issue:
What's your HT Link at? Same question goes for RAM speed and CPU voltage. I had an Athlon 7450 and it topped out at 3.08Ghz on the motherboard in my current system. Many told me that anything above 3.0 was going to be difficult to achieve.

What is the max HT link supported for your motherboard? Also, if you raise the FSB you also raise your RAM's speed. As you can see in your CPU-Z link your ram is at 434Mhz (868Mhz effective). Try lowering the ram speed and see if you can get 3.0.

Here is my 7450 Overclock thread:
http://www.overclock.net/amd-cpus/85...overclock.html

I'm not sure if you can gather anything that helps from that thread but I figured I'd throw it at you just in case.
