F@H Client crashing

post #1 of 30
Thread Starter
Everytime i use the -smp flag, F@H won't start

I insert the -smp flag into the additonal parameters then I restart.

I start up the F@H CPU Client again and it will say Loading for about 5 seconds and disappear's out of my icons area at the bottom right in my start menu bar...

If i remove the -smp flag, F@H will run fine

I followed the guide bit by bit and my SMP client is still taking about 17% of my CPU, even with the -smp flag in place

you could've used the [ code ] tags as was suggested, but anyway, you haven't got the -smp argument, hence you're getting a Unicore core, and a unicore WU

Have you got a shortcut with -smp at the end?

You'll need a shortcut to this ---> "C:\\fahsmpclient\\Folding@home-Win32-x86.exe" -smp

Also delete your work folder and queue.dat before you restart it

You needed to create a shortcut to the main folding exe and add your arguments to the end of that
