i played the beta. it was alright. the character customization options were fun at first. the gameplay mechanics were kinda of "meh." Not really fun, but not bad either. A good time waster between dead space and mw2 for me. Other than that, I wouldn't pay a subscription fee for that crap (no offense.) I'd stay away.

Plus, if you really want an MMO, wait for the new Star Wars MMO by BioWare. It's going to be amazing!

Oh man, those one word replies sure are going to effect OP's decision! Especially with that wall of text, facts, and experience backing it up.

SURELY he won't try the game now!

SURELY its past 5am of what you said and what you would report back with.

Usually if one word is used, the game is usually pretty bad.

SURELY you could help the OP by posting your feedback on playing? I'm SURE that wont be to hard.

Has anyone here actually played it? I'm curious to see an actual review for it from those that have. The lack of mouse support and PC textures turns me off, but if they're planning on implementing that in the future, I'll look into it.
In progress.

I put about 7 hours in it as of right now. That really not anywhere near a good amount of time for a review IMO. However, the initial game play and character creation is really fun, but like with any new MMO - it should be. There are several issues I don't like about the game, with the biggest one being the UI and chat system. Horrible for an MMO. I find myself just not wanting to talk to even ask a question.

Leveling up seems pretty quick if you are staying with the questing system. That being said, I hope the end game is really fun and challenging because it seems like it wont take long to cap out.

The one pvp game I played was chaotic to say the least. I did a legends pvp game which means I get to select from a group of iconic characters. They come with all the stats and high level abilities you would expect. The part that annoyed me the most about this (and there could of been a way for me to check this, but I didn't have time to ask or search), is there was no way to read about the abilities and skills that were on my action bar. I just had to run in there and start hitting buttons and try to figure out what happened. Would be nice to have a short recap of the skills you have before the match starts.

At this point, I am just going to play out my free month and then keep an eye on the patches and hopefully something good will come out of them.

Negatives:
-Straight up console game. It's all keybindings and no mouse unless you're on a menu screen. Plus they didn't even implement PC-quality graphics with launch (i.e. no res textures..but they did say that they'll be coming soon)
-Short. Getting to max level will take you about 10 hours MAX. (max level is 30)
-UI. Can only have a max of 6 skills out at once + 2 consumables. And you can't customize it at all.
-Chat system. Hard as hell to chat in the game. Most of the time when you hit Enter to chat it wont register so you have to go to the Chat Menu.
-Lack of reward for open world PvP. About all you get is the satifaction of squatting on those you've vanquished.

Positives:
-Character customization. About the same as all the other superhero games.
-Items. I like how they did it in this game. It has the classic white -> green -> blue -> purple -> orange itemization system. Gear unlocks costume styles as you progress, and you can either use each piece of gear's style, keep your original, or use a style that you've previously equipped. Plus there's rare and unique styles.
-Combat system. This for me is a positive but some may find it a negative. But, for a lot of you're abilities, it requires you to combo them through mouse clicks and what-not.. I find it better than mashing 1,2,3,1,2,3,1..
-Lore. Lots of lore to keep you busy. BUT, this involoves flying/leaping/running around looking for glowing question marks on the ground to pick up and hear some dialog.
-End game content. While small at the moment, there is something to do once you hit 30.
-Open world. Self explanatory.

SO. If you want my opinion.. It has potential, so long as Sony implements some more end game content and makes the PC version an actual PC game.
sounds like complete and utter trash, basically the pinnacle of why i hate modern gaming.
