It transfer data at 2000mhz! That why you have to multiply by 2! biggrin.gif
Sorry, not really sure how HyperTransport works, so I Googled it and this is what I got:
attachment.php?attachmentid=190534&stc=1&d=1295207164
So where does 2000 MHz transfer rate fit into this? confused.gif

That's weird. Maybe it is my hard drive .. Or the movie file has completely different codecs/formats/containers etc etc ..

You're right, it does depend on the video. I'm now encoding a standard definition video and its averaging about 85%. smile.gif

Alot of Mobo use HT V 3.0 Which operates at a maximum of 2.6GHZ or 2600Mhz.
Alot of boards only support 2000MHZ with out Ocing..

The whole Jigga hurtz thing was a joke this isnt a reason to multiply by two in reality...

Or is it cool.gif

Ah okay! I've seen HyperTransport vX.X many times while looking for AMD boards, but never bothered to find out what is means/does. Which is why I asked .. And yeah, I understood the Jiggahurtz/Gigglehurtz thing is definitely a joke. It ( and 4.01 x 6) doesn't work like that IIRC.

Try: http://www.mediacoderhq.com/. I got 99% CPU usage even with my Core i7. It was 100% faster then Q6600 @ 3.6Ghz and 60% faster then Q9550 @ 4.0Ghz.

Thanks! It works when it comes to core usage. thumb.gif But a couple of jobs I've tried stops after 10secs or so .. frown.gif And compared to Handbrake, its ui is horrible ..

MediaCoder is just crap - it uses LGPL'd software without crediting it. Boycott!

Both Handbrake and MediaCoder use x264 to encode, so there's no difference. You should try to figure out what the problem is rather than just switch.

Post all of your settings in Handbrake as well as the input and output file stats, like resolution, video format (this is not the file extension) and FPS (use MediaInfo if you don't know)
