Best BIOS for reference GTX 470

I have 2 GTX 470s running SLI, they're as reference as a card can be, 950 vid, no logo, etc. Thing is, they have different BIOS versions, and the one with the latest bios is significantly colder (4-6c in single card environment) than the one with the old BIOS. (i've tested both cards separately)

I also had a non-reference GTX 470 before which was also colder than the hottie in question.

Does anybody know what's the best BIOS out there to inject in these cards?

Also, i've never really played with the BIOS of my VGA, what's the best software for the party?

And you're 100% certain the fan speeds and voltages are identical between the two cards? I've really never heard of a bios making this kind of temp difference unless it's adjusting one of those two parameters. You sure ambients were the same in both tests, and that the tests being run to compare temps were identical?

Bottom-line I rather doubt the bios version being different is the actual causal factor for the temp diffs between the cards. But if it were me I'd say as long as both cards are reference versions, flash the hotter card with the cooler cards bios and see.

Use GPU-Z to back up the bios, and nvflash (run it in dos mode from a bootable usb stick) to do the flash.

But again ... I doubt it's the bios

Well, i am not 100% certain, but it seems really weird, that the card is always hotter than any other GTX 470 i try, when they have the same design and fan.

And i've read here several times about different BIOS making the temperatures different.

Yeah, I've read about it, too ... I just don't 'believe in it' ... unless the fan profile or voltage/clocks are being changed
