Your mobo can't do more than 450MHz FSB (max) with C2Q and to be P95 LARGE FFT stable..

I have P5Q Pro and Q9550 and my best P95 LFFT stable OC is 459MHz FSB..

CHEERS..

i never said anything about whether i can get it at 4GHz myself, i said ive seen it done. Someone on here actually and it was on air. so troll off with your Q9550 wheee.gif

EDIT: infact *proof* DanielF50 got his Q6600 at 4GHz http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=761925
and ive seen it done on a Q8400 but i cannot remember where so...

It can be done for Validation purposes only as I was talking of 24/7 stable 500MHz FSB OC on Q8400..

What Q6600 has anything to do with Q8400??

Q6600 has 9x multiplier so it needs only 445MHz FSB for 4GHz,Q8400 needs 500MHz..

And still that Q6600 is not 24/7 stable @ 4GHz anyway..

So troll off with that Q6600

I don't think that KingT is trying to troll you, he is just saying that your board is not usually able to run quad cores at fsb 500 stable. Your chip looks good so it might be able to do that with a right board like that P5Q-E which you have in your proof, P5Q-Deluxe or Gigabyte EP45-UD3 series boards are also capable of doing that.

I just trolled along, Duckert13 never asked for a stable system
I would go for 4 or more, validate and run with 3,9GHz which he got stable,
GG!

Exactly my point..

Even Ket from xtremesystems have found it difficult to get 500MHz FSB stable on his Q8400 and Asus Maximus Formula II which is a top end P45 motherboard..

I think he did get stuck @ 480 MHz FSB..(give or take few MHz)..

I know one guy who runs a Q8400 stable at 4 GHz with GA-EP45-UD3 but that is the only one I've ever seen.
