Roccat Kave 5.1 Problem

So I picked up Roccat Kave Solid 5.1 Headset and its great! But... when I plug in the Orange wire (Center) I get this alienlike voices and random sounds, but when I turn the Center volume down to about 35% on the remote it has, the noises are gone, so my questions is? Is it the headset or my soundcard?

I think it's your soundcard. Some onboard soundcards have this problem when trying to connect several different surround plugs.

If you don't want to buy a costly new soundcard, try plugging the ORANGE plug into the PINK (microphone) jack on the soundcard (assuming you don't have a microphone plugged in there). See if that helps

Noise? Does fiddling with the cord cause any sound?
