Hi, im having heaps of problem overclocking on this ultra crap mobo and i have plenty of overclocking experience.
I have i5 2500K, Noctua NH-C12P SE14, Asus P8P67-M Pro(0413 bios), Lian Li PC-A04, Corsair HX-650, HD6850, 8G RAM, 2T HDD and a Pioneer DVDRW.
Main problem is this crappy motherboard won't let u set the cpu voltage.
but unfortunately that's not the only problem. I followed all the instructions but i can't adjust/save the "CPU Offset Voltage" and the "CPU Ratio" options at all in the bios. ><
After wasting hours checking on the net, making posts at few diff forums and emailing morons at Asus twice(no repsonse yet) im really starting to get pissed off.. i recently had i5 2500K+Gigabyte P67-UD3P and had no problem overclocking the cpu, i only changed to Asus cos i wanted a smaller case.
Installing the AI Suite from asus cd is the only possible way to overclock on this mobo? cos thats really retarded. I really don't understand why i'm having so much trouble running ~4.5GHz @ ~1.35v with parts i bought, it would be easier than stealing a candy from a child if i had a Gigabyte P67 motherboard.
p.s. mobo came with 0404 bios, flashed to 0413 but didn't change anything. tried 0414 but wouldn't let me flash it saying its not an EFI bios, now using 0601 bios but still same.Edited by Chaballa - 3/5/11 at 5:51pm
