Use the reference clock to OC the IMC. When there is instabilty, up your CPU-NB volts a few notches.

There is also a guide on OC'ing the IMC.

Your MB doesn't seem to support it. However, that might limit higher overclocks to your cpu in the long run.

also in case you are wondering what happens if you push well over 1.55vCore with high PLL for a few months on a Thuban:

She just up an' quits at some point, well actually the system just gets REALLY slow, like if you only have 512MB RAM, still functioned when I took it apart, figured there had to be a reason for the new slow-down LOL guess so

you won't encounter this problem, but I like sharing it haha

Thing pulled 500w+ at the wall with just CPU load (down to ~180w at full idle). also I still use the same TX750 PSU, just spliced a new 8-pin ATX connector on LOL

Whoa! Is that a low-mid range board? Seems like the VRMs simply weren't up the the task, and neither was the 8pin power connector.

Do Thubans really drain that much power at 1.55? It sure seems like more than 150% of a Deneb, and higher than even i7s.

what happened was that they were running too hot and a cap blew, and when it blew it overheated more and discolored everything, think the ATX connector was just from the cap going. weird part was that it didn't crash or BSOD, just got really slow

890GPA-UD3H 4+1 Phase Ferrite chokes

the 1055T always had a huge powerdraw though
