How much does IBT test memory...im failing..

I can run my CPU at 3.5ghz and 1.22vcore under load (1055t) and it will pass at 8-8-8-24 timings (on CL9 1333mhz memory). Temp tops out around 41*C (CPU).

I up my PC to 3.8ghz and it begins to fail (1.28vcore). I upped vcore all the way to 1.37, and it is still failing. I put the vcore back down to 1.33 @ 3.8ghz, and have been running Prime95 8k tests for over an hour and its fine, temps holding steady at 51*C. IBT fails on the second run......

Running 1.2v cpunb @ 2500mhz and default HT voltage at 1900mhz.

Am I missing something? Must it be the memory? I thought that in theory 8k FFT tests in Prime95 will tell you if the CPU and vcore is the root of the problems....

nb voltage might need a bump.

Try to higher up your NB-volts to 1.25v or 1.3v. Might be a IMC instability.

I tried upping it all the way to 1.3V and it still crashes, then I started getting some blue screens - and also linpack program crashes (not IBT saying I failed, just the program crashing which I am assuming is worse than saying I failed). I don't know what the problem is.

Do I really need to go from 1.22v vcore @ 3.5ghz to 1.4vcore for 3.8ghz? It has to be something else, right? Does FSB affect memory? I tried lowering the multiplier and upping the FSB (still proc @ 3.8ghz) and it was failing faster.

What does your RAM operate at when your OC your CPU to 3.8 GHz?

And are you sure you upped your CPU-NB volts?

Yeah I upped the right voltage. The memory is running around 1000 mhz.

Ok so, got IBT to run for 20 passes, 67.1 gigaflops :-) @ 3.8ghz on around 1.38vcore.

Prime95 blend ran all night, no issues.

Then this morning, black screen while under no load, and restart, temps were like 30* CPU idling.....Any idea of causes for this? I am going to revert BIOS back to one before the latest because I have been having problems posting ever since I switched....ugghhh what a PITA. Any ideas?
