OCing (i7-2600k + ASUS P8P67 DELUXE) - Page 2

Are you trying to OC with or without HT enabled? I remember that being an issue with previous Intel chips because it would put more stress on the CPU thus requiring more voltage.

HT is enabled; as far as I remember, every other person's OC (that I read about) had HT enabled, though.

Yeah it seems kind of pointless to spend $100 more for a feature you end up disabling just to get a higher OC.

That just seems like an awful lot of volts to get to that frequency... mine (although a 2500k) hits 5 pretty easily with around 1.4-1.425.
