Very common with these cpus on the verge of stable. Listen to jonesey snd bump to like 1.34 or 1.35 and rerun. You might be able to pass small ffts at 1.33 but once you mix memory in, if you dont have enough vcore you will get app crashes tht look like unstable ram

Also, test with small fft to test chip stability.... use blend to test ram. thumb.gif

1.33v was good for 4.7ghz... small ffts produces max of 76C... blend was max of 73C.... I did bump it to 1.34v just for stability. Think I'll stick here for now and see how it works.

Damnit, I want to get a water cooling system now.

Hi guys,

just stumbled across this thread and applied it. I shamefully started off directly with 1.55 PLL for my 2500K and it works nicely so far. 4.5GHz OC with (Auto!) Voltage around 1.280-1.288, so I assume if I were to go manual I could drop it to 1.26 or so.

Push-Pull-Airconfig, Super Mega cooler with two 1000rpm fans, 64°C MaxTemp under Small FFT. Do these values sound OK or is it too hightemp oder too high voltage still or something?

Also, if I switch from Auto Voltage to manual, does SpeedStep still reduce voltage in idle mode?

nope. manual= constant voltages

temp is fine. 80-86 should be sweet spot and even so, 90-92 would b max for me

I've only got the "push" going right now. 76C was my hottest core, 67C was my coolest, with the other two gave me an average of 72C...

Idle for all cores is right around 28C.

UPDATE. I've taken pll down to 1.6v, still perfectly stable, and 1c cooler now.
