Sandy Bridge owners, take note - Page 18

I've also had Internal PLL voltage set to 1.7 with no issues. Less heat is always welcome, this 2500k runs quite hot compared to my old one

So whats the conclusion?
Im running
VCORE 1.476v idle 1.5v load
PLL 1.880v
PCH 1.080v
HyperThreading ENABLED.

Would you say these volts are fine for 24/7?
Idle temp 29c
Load temp 73c

For HT enabled I'd say it's fine. Have you tried lowering the PLL voltage a bit?

lower your pll, try around 1.6v. Undervolting is never bad if you can maintain stability. Your real voltage is 1.5V not 1.476v. Idle voltage does not matter, load is the real cpu voltage. Your temp are real good if it is with HT ON AND 1.5V so don't worry about it.

I originally started with a much higher pll than stock like it was for my i7 920. I started at 1.88, and went through so many stability issues. Out of pure luck, I lowered this by accident back down to stock and suddenly I was more stable. Went into bios to see what I changed, and it ended up being this voltage. I then lowered it past stock, and was COMPLETELY stable. For me, 1.76 is the sweet spot. It was better than 1.8 at 1.74, but not as good as 1.76.
Based on this, I'm going to try raising from 1.7 to 1.76.

cool, forgot about wanting to try that anyway. I'll leave it at 1.7

Currently running blend for 1 hour stable 4.7ghz vcore 1.452v/145.200w/103a
max core temps 70/81/81/78

How close to 90 is too close?
