ATTN: All ASUS P8P67 PRO owners.

Thread Starter
I just discovered that the stock ASUS P67 PRO BIOS only allows Windows access to 4Gb of RAM.

If you have more than 4Gb of RAM, you need to update to the 1003 BIOS, which allows use of 8Gb.

If you have more than 8Gb, you need to update to the Beta 1053 version.

Link for verification.

I am pretty sure everyone has updated their BIOS if they are on this forum for the CPU PLL Overvoltage option.

how would one verify this on your own system? everything is reporting 8GB correctly. I have the stock BIOS on my P8P67-M Pro because there is no BIOS update yet....

I don't think the P67-M is affected by this, just the regular P67.

I just updated my BIOS from 1000 to 1053 and my usable RAM jumped from 4 to 8Gb.

While all the Asus 1155 socket motherboard members are here, did Asus fix the Turbo Boost disabling?

For me since the link was for PRO motherboard as I have Deluxe:

I haven't updated either for the PLL voltage and I have all my memory during OS at stock timings as well.

Looks like it's just a PRO thing, now that I've done some more research. Thread edited.

First time I booted up with my deluxe it only showed 4gb, but that lasted for about 5 seconds while I updated the bios (to 1053) off my thumb drive.

A more important tip for everyone w/ the new p67 boards, clear your cmos after the update, all those weird cold boot problems and general flakiness clears right up

I wouldn't call it a problem, just a minor 5-minute inconvenience. ASUS' EZ Flash allowed me to fix the problem in less than 5 minutes, including time taken to download the new BIOS.
