Tubing question

Thread Starter
I plan on buying some different UV tubing than the clear stuff that I just got with XSPC Rasa kit.

First off is it better to have 1/2" than the 7/16" that was included? Personally I think the thicker tubing looks cooler but just want to know.

Don't know whether to get Feser or Primoflex. Which is better? Cheapest place to get them with lowest shipping cost?
I'm only cooling a CPU for now so is 6 feet enough?

Lastly, this one's for your opinion. I'm using a HAF X so it has the red LED fan in the front. I don't know if I should buy red UV tubing to match that or what. I already have a green cold cathode lying around here that I was thinking about possibly using in conjunction with green UV tubing, or will that green cold cathode overshadow the UV lighting and make it look weird? I was also thinking about some white UV tubing, how is that under UV lighting?
-Which combo do you think will look the coolest?

7/16 will fit over 1/2 barbs with no problem. it will provide a tighter fit/seal. I would get 10ft of tubing better to have extra than to little

The 1/2" tubing should be fine. I'm not sure why the Rasa kit comes with 7/16" but some people prefer the slightly smaller diameter for a tighter seal.

And i'd recommend getting 8 to 10 feet. It's only a few extra bucks and gives a little breathing room in case you measured wrong or screw up a cut. smile.gif

1/2" will be better then 7/16" as 1/2" has better flow but differences in temps will be nominal in your situation.

After endless hours of researching i found the Primoflex to be the better of the 2

And to comment on your last question, and this is is quite opinionated as peoples tastes differ greatly... I also have the HAF X and by far the nicest looking combos i found were

1: stock led fan off with purple uv tubing and uv lights. (My personal Favorite)
2: stock led fan off with UV white tubing and uv lights. (White looks really good)
3: stock led fan on with red uv tubing and uv lights.
4: Replace all fans with red led fans, red uv tubing with uv lights.

https://www.jab-tech.com/Primochill-Tube-c-319.html this is cheapest place i found thus far to order tubing, if anyone else knows of a cheapler place please udpdate

The flow difference between 1/2ID and 7/16ID is about 0.01. Pretty much you wont be able to tell the temperature differences.

I would look for 7/16ID tubing.

Amazon has the cheapest if you purchase 10ft of tubing.

Are the white ones from Primoflex UV? I see Feser says that but I'm not sure about the other brands.

I use primoflex pro lrt uv green: 1/2ID 3/4OD with 1/8 wall. It has served me well and doesn't kink easily. Looks cool under uv light, too. I usually buy 10 ft of it to have leftovers for any upgrades and stuffs.

The ones at my Microcenter are pretty inexpensive for Primochill 10ft coils at about $6. Then like $2 by the foot?

Flow difference is irrelevant. Your block(s) is what restricts your flow. Doesn't matter. Use whatever works for you.

personally, I've always used Primo's tubes. They bend good and last. I've used both 3/8 and 1/2(x3/4) and have had no probs. I highly recommend them.
I have white under 'white cold cathode' lighting..... retarded size.... i know...
