I am going to buy a new cooler this week or next, and I still didn't decide on what to go. Both seems to have great performance on reviews, Help anyone? wink.gif

Frio by a long shot.

V8 doesn't cool that well, for the price.

For pure performance, Frio wins, probably mainly due to the fact that it has 2 powerful fans (vs single fan of V8) blowing 100CFM at 2500rpm under full load. So, this victory comes at the expense of noise. A trade-off has to be made.

I have the thermaltake Frio. it's beast of a cooler, but it's big and will probably get in the way of your RAM slots. So be aware of that. Dropped my temps no less than 80F / 30C!

go with frio, very good cooling performacne..1-2C worse than D14, but you have to have fans on 2500RPM and that is impossible to have because it sounds like small helicopter

or wait for frio OCK

The Frio OCK looks to be bigger and heavy than its older sibling. The fans are getting upgraded from 120mm to 130mm and it is going from 6 to 8 heatpipes.

I think it's moving from 4x8mm heatpipes to 6x6mm heatpipes.
