Risen looks awesome, pretty similar to Dragon Age. And Baldur's gate 2 looks like a classic game that i've missed out on. Do i have to play baldur's gate 1 to understand 2 tho? or are they not linked?

I'm still playing stalker atm, giving it a chance, and trying not to waste my money >.<
but I'll definitely get Risen and BG after, possibly borderlands too cos the trailer looked sick heh =)

I must be old. FF7 had one of the best stories i've ever played thru. I also gotta say mass effect 1 and fallout 3 beat their sequels a million times over.

Portal is amazing but as only one other kid pointed out, it's pretty damn short.

Half-life 2 was a great fps. Felt unique and original. Although I have to say the best way to experience hl2 is to play it on hard. I still remember breaking out in cold sweats over that game.

Fable 2 was fun too.

Thief Series Awesome old stealth game.
Ghost Recon The first three games, Ghost Recon, Desert Siege, and Island Thunder, NOT the new ones. Ultra realistic squad based FPS.

Get The Orange Box, half life 2, episode 1 and 2, portal, those are all great.

Half-Life series. Start with Half-Life Source then buy HL2 and the episodes.

Or just buy the orange box on steam.

Well since you liked Assassins Creed then I guess Assassins Creed 2 is a good choice.

I really enjoyed Batman Arkham Asylum and Dead Space. Batman was like a hidden gem because i didnt really hear much about it and it just blew me away how much fun it was. Dead Space was just a (IMO) really good horror survival since the PC platform hasnt had any good games in that genre for awhile. These games arnt the most immersive but they are extremely fun.

I thoroughly enjoyed Borderlands. I have a hard time getting into most any game and actually finishing it. Borderlands is honestly the first PC game I've ever enjoyed enough to play through until the end and then keep playing. (they give you the option to play through it again afterwards ) It's even more fun if you've got a couple of mates to play in a LAN game with. That's pretty much all we do at my place these days
