whats your 24/7 sandy bridge overclocking? - Page 2

It's a shame that this CPU needs a 1.5 voltage for a 5.0 Ghz overclock.

Ummm.... easy

You run 1 copy of the program for each core you have.

Copy/paste.

Personally, I think you have a bad chip. People have been getting 5.0Ghz @ 1.425v.

That's stable enough for 24/7 given your temps are under 75C or so.
sorry i didn't catch that, i saw his temp and voltage. jesus $1000 cooler, i'm in for 10.

But the site has this benchmark aspect to it where it puts the 2600k above the 980x.

Like I said, which a well-binned chip, 1.425v is all you need.

try running small fft, yes it is much more demanding and will get you higher temp. It will only really test your cpu, not really your ram.

There is a big difference between 5.0 GHz and 5.27 GHz.

I am running at 5.27 GHz.

2500K, but I know what you meant, and you are correct.

One a core-by-core comparison, the architecture of the i5-2500K @ ~ 5.1 GHz did nudge out the 5.27 GHz Gulftown.

Can't argue with that.

The Gulftown did smoke it in CineBench 11.5 though, 13.35 to 8.01

but I will try to get a 4.8GHz stable 24/7 overclock if possible :=)

- What you guys recommend for a max temp after 7 hours of prime95?
