So my GTX470 Arrived! - Page 8

you compare card's in a similar price range.

but just cause one cost's more automatically mean it is faster..

If we were to do an actual comparison on cards, you wouldn't look at a low end card a compare it to a high end would you?

No, you would compare 2 cards that are roughly the same price, which the GTX470 and the 6870 are not.

That wasn't my point...

The point was that he shouldn't compare them because there not in the same price range...

Which is?

When you go grocery shopping, what do you compare when you compare 2 similar products? Prices. End of discussion.

I actually compare taste, texture, and whether or not it's going to make my girlfriends thighs grow larger.

Gah, good point, bad analogy...

It's like having a brand preference; EVGA > ASUS (not saying they are), some people spend more for a brand name.

I'm like this, I've never really heard of Palit to be honest Well I'd of them when the 460s came out but that's about it. I think they make ugly cards hence why I went for the reference card they did to start with.

Nice card. OC that mofo!

You don't necessarily need water cooling, I have 2 in SLI with a 450 for Physx and they are all on top of each other.

OC'ed to 800 core mine never go over 70 loaded. Of course I have a custom fan profile and my case is the best air cooling case ever designed.

@Yoko and Covert... take some chill pills before you both have a stroke.

Flame baiting at each other serves no purpose apart from entertaining the rest of us. Neither of you will convince the other that you are right... just leave it.

This thread has de-railed... again.
