Actually, Windows 7 is much more stable than XP. Microsoft seperated the drivers and programs from the kernel more than XP so an issue with a crashing program or bad driver will not take down your entire system nearly as much as XP. I think I've had a crash that wasn't overclocking related maybe twice since I started using the Windows 7 Beta until now on at least 10 different PCs/laptops/Macs, etc.
I'm also going to assume that 99% of people who complain about UAC don't understand why it is in place or why Macs and Linux require very similar permissions.
On my sig rig, XP works better than 7, Also with XP you dont get the stupid message "(software) has stopped working".
When I mod GTA IV on XP everything works fine, when I do it on 7.. I get "GTA IV has stopped working" as soon as I open the game, O.o
I've had more BSOD's on 7 than I have with XP, Also XP handles overclocking better. (depending what CPU you have)
Windows XP FTW. im going to dual boot it with Windows 7.
